Slightly Disappointed

Well, it's well past time the world should have ended today.  Looks like we get to have Christmas after all next week.  The cool thing though is that the Sun is lined up with the center of the galaxy today, the winter solstice.  And that's actually all the significance this day had for the Mayan calendar, as it's the end of the current cycle and tomorrow is the start of the new one.  Just like in a few days, January 1 will follow December 31.

I didn't know about the center of the galaxy thing until last week. Kinda cool.

So how did the Mayans know about the center of the galaxy? Or how to find it?

All the sky they could see was with the naked eye only.

Their night skies were very dark, and one thing they figured out was astronomy. Of course, they did a lot of astrology as well, but then they were a bunch of pagans.

The world has ended. What you are experiencing now is only a dream as you lie in suspended animation aboard the Mothership whisking you away to another Universe.

Wow, this is a great simulation then. Hopefully they will introduce the flying cars in the next 2 years.

It can be arranged. It is but simple lines of code in the Universal Matrix.

Then come the unicorns.

Can't wait to do the hover conversion on my minivan, then!

Only if you have first acquired the flux capacitor and the Mr. Fusion device.

Or powdered unicorn horn.

Either one will work.
